When thinking about her expanding family, the artist decided to express her feelings on canvas. What started with each member of the family being clearly represented by vibrant color, the work soon morphed into a luscious, textural, energized abstract painting. The artist messaged the thick oils onto the canvas with her hand and used a comb for further markings. Because of the thick textural quality of the oils, this piece took months to dry.…
