About this artwork
Scenes depicted in my paintings are a fragment of my everydayness. These are observations, colorful notes, reflections frozen on the surface of my canvases.
In this painting I captured the scene of people waiting for a plane. People are calm, lost in thought - waiting for departure. Their silhouettes are immersed in shadow. Only tiny rays of sunlight highlight individual features of their faces. Perhaps they will never meet again, but they are united… by this moment of waiting, just as their silhouettes are united by being immersed in shadow.
