About this artwork
In this image, the Trabant, a symbol of old roles and the need to function, drives past me. It has accompanied me for a long time, shaped me—and limited me.
In the foreground, I stand, still, collected, at peace within myself. The lines of my face are clear, the colors glow softly, carried by golden accents. I am no longer someone else's vehicle, no longer the one who bends. The image speaks of letting go of old roles, of my liberation: Our paths… diverge – the Trabant moves on, and I remain. In my own strength. In my own peace. Completely myself.

- Works on commission
Barbara Liechti is a Swiss artist with roots in individual psychology. As a self-taught artist, she creates works in acrylic on canvas and watercolor on paper that emerge intuitively and oscillate between abstraction and representation. Her acrylic paintings appear powerful and structured, her watercolors light, clear, and poetic. Natural motifs, symbolic forms, and a calm yet touching expressiveness characterize her style. Her attitude is reflected in all her works: genuine, profound, and moving.
