About this artwork
The painting SILVER STAR was created in numerous layers using the acrylic mixing technique. The artist worked with different structural masses and used silver pigments, which determine the impression of the work. The metallic is impressively complemented by shades of blue. The abstract painting is reminiscent of a section of a water lily pond. The subsurface is a stable HDF board. The painting is not framed, but there are various installation options.…
In addition to a normal picture frame, a floater frame is also possible. The choice of frame color can add even more depth to the work. The artist can even imagine installing the picture as a floating panel in front of a wall, with indirect lighting on the back.

Barbara Schauß is an established German painter whose works have been exhibited in regional and national exhibitions. Her love for art began as a child when she discovered her father's books of world famous paintings. Inspired by the Impressionist movement, Schauß was greatly moved to paint after seeing Monet's "Fields in Spring" and famous lily pads. She also experiments in abstract painting, working in both oils and acrylics. Schauß is compelled by colors and aims to represent an overall atmosphere, whether harmonious or discordant, through her work.
