About this artwork
I wanted to show in this artwork how such a humble creature as the snail can lend itself so well to subject matter for a sculpture. Its perfectly formed spiralled shell is certainly worthy of celebrating and depicting in bronze. This fine foundry work pushed the boundaries of what can be achieved through bronze casting. I can patinate the shell in a plethora of variant colours dictated by the personal taste of the buyer.
