About this artwork
This silkscreen is based on a painting I did ten years ago for an exhibition at Traeger and Pinto contemporary in Mexico City. Today the image si just as relevant as when I first did it. The image is the first in a triolgy series I am doing based on our current circumstances.

Barry Wolfryd is a painter, printmaker and sculptor who resides in Mexico. His works have been exhibited nationally as well as in Italy, Spain, Denmark, Germany, Japan and Ecuador. His compositions blend the surreal and include elements of pop art and expressionism, featuring imagery from popular culture as a vehicle for critique. Wolfryd’s objective is to convey an ‘absurd narrative’. When painting he uses oil, paper and mixed media, while his sculptures are fabricated with ceramics, glass, art objects and graphics.
