About this artwork
This work unfolds a dense, atmospheric presence through a deep spectrum of blue and gray tones. Built up in multi-layered glazes, it creates an almost nebulous depth in which forms only suggest themselves and then dissolve again. In my studio near Osnabrück, I translate emotions, encounters, and memories into abstract paintings. I work with acrylics and oils, layering, reducing, and allowing an open dialogue to emerge between the artwork and the viewer.
