About this artwork
Tempting message emerged in spring, just before the buds opened. The earth released itself from its winter torpor and a delicate red flashed in individual places in the forest. I wanted to capture this moment of awakening through painting and began placing the pigments across the canvas like pollen. Signs and formulas emerged like tempting hints of the phenomenon of hibernation and departure.
