About this artwork
This work is a diptych 2 times 100 cmx100xcm
It is an almost abstract personal interpretation intended to be cheerful and colorful.
A predominance of blue, orange-red, yellow to illuminate the day and winter evenings.
Artwork inspired by: The Coral Reef - by José Maria de Heredia
The sun under the sea, mysterious dawn,
Light up the forest of Abyssinian corals
Which mixes, in the depths of its warm pools,
The blooming beast and the living… flora.
And all that salt or iodine colors,
Moss, hairy algae, anemones, sea urchins,
Covered with dark purple, in sumptuous designs,
The vermiculated bottom of the pale madrepore.
Of its splendid shell extinguishing the enamels,
A large fish sails through the twigs;
In the transparent shade he prowls indolently;
And, suddenly, with a stroke of his flaming fin,
He makes, through the gloomy crystal, motionless and blue,
Running a thrill of gold, mother-of-pearl and emerald.
« The artist is an additional burden for humanity, he produces nothing, and yet he gives strength. - Leskov »
