About this artwork
Infinity explores blue as a space of depth, silence, and possibility. Layers of oil paint and pigments overlap in different shades, while gauzes integrated into the paint introduce a material dimension that generates relief, texture, and depth.
The work evokes the immensity of the sky and the sea: that horizon we know exists even though we cannot know where it ends. The gaze enters a seemingly limitless space, where dark areas coexist with moments… of light.
Infinity speaks of that which we cannot control or measure, but which allows us to move forward: uncertainty, trust, and hope. The fragility of the gauze, transformed into matter and structure, reinforces this idea that even vulnerability can become a source of support.
It is a work about looking towards the unknown without losing faith in what lies beyond.97
