About this artwork
In this digital work, I mix naïve style with pop art and symbolism to evoke vibrant energies and powerful messages. I represent the figure of a rider reminiscent of Velázquez's Prince Balthazar riding a horse, both seen on a vibrant background. It suggests chaos and creativity.
I use vivid colors and textures to highlight the duality between simplicity and complexity. This art invites reflection on the contrast between the everyday classical art… in our collective consciousness and the imaginative, adding a touch of inspiration and energy to any space.
Limited edition of 3 units in methacrylate
• print on Fuji Crystal Archive Proffesional Maxima photographic paper, covered with transparent methacrylate and mounted on aluminum Dibond
• Signed and numbered on the front. Certification of authenticity.

« I explore the essence of art and am intrigued by the "why" of works that last over time, as well as the why of those that fall into oblivion. »
Begoña Lafuente is a painter and illustrator based in the Netherlands whose works have been widely exhibited internationally, as well as in Spain. For her, art is a timeless conversation where not everything is said and "the essential is diluted." Lafuente describes her works as a game of combinations that combines materials, textures and colors, improvising new routes for the senses. In addition, she integrates movement and contrast in her compositions to cultivate visual and emotional tension.
