The painting captures two figures in a suspended moment of intimacy, concentration and unspoken exchange. Set within a fragmented urban interior, the scene moves between figuration and abstraction: the faces are rendered with psychological precision, while the surrounding space dissolves into layered reflections, architectural traces and painterly… gestures.
Cool blues, greys and glass-like transparencies contrast with the warmth of the skin tones and the amber notes of the glasses in the foreground. This tension gives the work a cinematic quality, as if the viewer has entered a private conversation at the exact moment when words are no longer enough.
The title, Between Words, refers to the emotional space that exists in silence: the pauses, glances and subtle gestures through which meaning is often revealed. The work explores human connection, urban solitude and the quiet drama
