About this artwork
Some photos offered during a beautiful trip to Norway sparked my imagination as an artist. Curious about its fjords, its glaciers, its aurora borealis... It is however an urban landscape worked in a semi-abstract way with its reflections of colored wooden houses on the Nidelva which is represented on this canvas

Beline Loeb is a French artist who has exhibited her paintings nationally and in Italy. She sites water as being her pictorial obsession and how her experiences in the city of Venice were vital for her work on reflections. Béline work focus is not only directed to the surface, she describes it as a "gaze of depth", wherein, rhythm, movement, inversions, anamorphoses, shadows, and lights are translated. Her abstract compositions are created using acrylics and collage on paper or wood.
