In this work, I explored the interplay between the rigid structure of Cubism and the freedom of abstraction, blending black, gray, and vibrant touches of orange. The collage creates a visual rhythm where each form seems to vibrate, evoking both tension and harmony. This piece invites the viewer to experience an urban energy, ready to energize and animate the space where it is displayed.
Benoît Dedieu-Anglade, a graduate of the École nationale des arts décoratifs in Paris, blends drawing and sculpture, primarily using ballpoint pens, papier-mâché, and found materials. His technique oscillates between the sheet and three-dimensionality, working with the spontaneity of cut and drawn forms to compose complex and communicative works born from observations of everyday life. In each of his pieces, he conveys a sense of wonder at the mystery of creation and the spontaneous origin of forms, encouraging the viewer to see the seemingly insignificant in a new light.
