About this artwork
Play of shapes and colors in a dialogue of signs in space, where the sign being an optical solicitation devoid of references and meaning, fully realizes its nature when it is on the same level as things, participates with them in the visual experience a dialogue between surface sign and space.

« The sign is time that becomes space and painting is not only beautiful or pleasant, it helps you to be alone, to face yourself. »
Benedetta Del Coco is an Italian artist whose paintings have been featured in numerous solos and group exhibitions nationally. Her artistic practice is informed by the sign, the gesture, as well as the interaction between the sign and space through chromatic juxtapositions. Her distinctive and varied abstract impressionist compositions are created using oils, tar, pastels, acrylics on canvas.
