Benoit LAURE
France
« Along the lines, traces, colors that we superimpose on the canvas, we dig within ourselves. It is in our depths that we can reach something universal. »
Benoit Laure is a painter, draftsman, and printmaker based in France whose works have been featured in several solo exhibitions nationally. He likens his portraits to "presences",
creating doors to a secret world. For Laure, it is not what his figurative compositions represent that matter to him, it is the emotions they exude. He employs oils and pigments in his artistic process for their particular "resonance of colors'.
