About this artwork
Diptych made on reclaimed wood, where the imprint becomes a language. The choice of support is an essential part of the work: a material that has already had another life, that preserves an invisible memory, and on which new paths, incisions, and reliefs appear.
The circular lines and marks overlap like traces of different moments, evoking that which remains even when matter is transformed.
The two pieces share the same dimensions —35 × 45 cm… each— but develop different identities, posing a dialogue between memory, transformation and continuity.
Nothing starts completely from scratch.
All matter retains some trace of what it once was.
