« To paint is to imprison fragments of life every second. »
Bernard Rolland is a French artist whose paintings have been exhibited nationally and in the Netherlands. One of the recurring characters in his vibrant pieces is the sailor, which symbolizes travel and freedom, as well as androgynous faces. For Rolland, they are his guardian angels. He creates in a gestural manner using acrylics, spray paint, and pastels on paper or canvas
