About this artwork
In my pastel paintings I have captured the raw and untouched beauty of the Arctic tundra. With a realistic style I show the vast, almost endless field covered in snow, broken by dry tufts of grass fighting against the cold. This work reflects the strength and solitude of nature and brings a calm, thoughtful atmosphere to any room. The subtle shades of grey and the soft shadows make the silence and cold of the tundra tangible.
