About this artwork
It is strange to discover that it was impossible to make a clear and sharp photo of this painting. This is caused by the way I treated the paint, and especialy the fact that it was painted horizontally, with a lot of medium. The painting shows a deep sense of the colour blue, connected with either water or sky. The movement in the brushstrokes are almost like signs of a strugle. Traces of a fierce force.

« Sand, loam, chalk, a filthy cloud- gray-green not, mirroring in dark water, olive green, high tide, hidden space. »
Bert Wils is a painter and photographer based in France whose works have been exhibited nationally. He describes his art as being a response to the world around him. For Wils, his compositions must communicate on a deeper level with viewers, which is why he refers to them as "mirroring". Through which, the viewer is reflected. He most often creates using oils, acrylics, and cotton on canvas.
