About this artwork
A transformed landscape, as in a window/ frame. I used common material what was around in my studio at “Wittenburgh”, Amsterdam. It is a search for a solid compasition as well as a search for tenderness in material. The ocre colours are referring to nature in early winter.

« Sand, loam, chalk, a filthy cloud- gray-green not, mirroring in dark water, olive green, high tide, hidden space. »
Bert Wils is a painter and photographer based in France whose works have been exhibited nationally. He describes his art as being a response to the world around him. For Wils, his compositions must communicate on a deeper level with viewers, which is why he refers to them as "mirroring". Through which, the viewer is reflected. He most often creates using oils, acrylics, and cotton on canvas.
