The sky becomes a map that is constantly being erased.
Airplane contrails trace lines of water that intersect, overlap, and get lost.
Sometimes they form stars, other times they are simple luminous scars.
They are paths that do not touch the ground, routes without memory, fragile geometries that only exist while they unravel.
Water stars: suspended drawings, promises that never come to pass.
Paths of Heaven: transit, footprint, disappearance.…
Air as support, time as limit.
Looking up is witnessing a writing that does not want to last.

Berta Jayo is a multidisciplinary artist trained in Fine Arts in Spain, with postgraduate and master's degrees in London and New York. She uses photography, painting, installations, performances, sculpture, design, and artist's books. She employs conceptual techniques and irony. Her works convey freedom, invite reflection from a place of strangeness, and stimulate the creation of multiple personal interpretations, awakening internal questions and a sense of wonder.
