About this artwork
Minimalist touches and a limited palette are the methods I chose to express the fullness and beauty of this moment. In Greece, a friend told me, you should always pay attention to the benches, to their placement. You should sit on them and savor the moment. They are landmarks, elements placed there with the perspicacity of the Greeks to cultivate the possibility of contemplation. I followed this advice and invite you to contemplate this landscape.…
The tawny forms of the vegetation breathe the vibrant energy of their solar stems, which crackle like
Flames above the vast blue expanse. This artwork invites contemplation, bringing an atmosphere of profound calm and poetic reflection to your home.
Bertille Gentil French artist, pioneer of Anthropocene Art - Paris-Greece for 6 years A graduate of ENSAD Paris, Bertille Gentil has been exploring the fragile memory of living things for three decades. Her Arctic residency in Svalbard (2019) marked a turning point: from radical land art to lucid contemplation through painting. Based in Aegina, she creates "sensitive archives"—paintings that capture Mediterranean landscapes before they burn. Neither nostalgic nor alarmist, her canvases are evidence of existence for future generations. His collaborations with Rastoni Hotel and Nadaud Paris demonstrate a practice rooted in the dialogue between art and territory. His work pays homage to the world as it still exists.
