About this artwork
I tend to work in a series, each painting leads me on to the next. The Systematic Path came about as a result of questions I was asking myself while thinking about existence, time, space, and how many dimensions there might be - and about coming to awareness and self-knowledge through science and technology. I was also reading about the Human Genome Project, and the first sequencing and analysis of the human genome. In this series paintings I…
integrate large geometric shapes defined by bold color combinations with floating objects in a subconscious universe where past and present exist simultaneously. Such objects and shapes have been a consistent theme in my paintings.
