About this artwork
I am very connected to nature, especially the mountains, I like to go hiking and I can spend ages watching the cows on the mountain pastures - how they calmly surrender to nature and enjoy their freedom. The happiness of not being locked in a stable all my life also fills my heart with joy. I would like to share this joy with other people, which is why I started the series with my favorite cows.
In this work I capture the calm, yet haunting look… of an animal. Using oil paints I create an almost noticeable texture and warmth. This painting conveys a harmonious connection with nature and is intended to create a calming yet invigorating atmosphere in any room.
