About this artwork
This work is about a precious commodity - our teeth. The artist herself experienced how important these are for the whole body and what it means to lose a tooth, for example. When does the appreciation for something that is taken for granted begin?
She was tempted to make this topic visible and to give more appreciation to the work of dentists. The result is a series of small works on paper. It's an exciting mix of drawing combined with color accents… and text elements. Smaller paintings complete the work. At first glance, the tooth does not come to the fore right away, it is more like the second look - as in reality. First come the eyes, then the gaze, then the mouth and teeth when we meet with a smile.
