This picture was just fun to paint. It was a little experiment to make the underground from pigments. These are poured
and spread smoothly over the image on a sunny day. The woman's clothes are also a little crazy. The artist painted the pants a bit offset, as if looking at a photo that was torn in the middle and not put back together exactly.
The bear and the tartlet with the strawberry result in the play on words and the title in German: ErbBÄRtörtchen,… you can hear the strawberry from the sound, and read the BEAR from reading.
