About this artwork
The lines, which appear in many of Birgit Pleschberger's works and which appear in this series for the first time in their own right and in the form of a filigree paper cut, are streams. Currents that are flowing, straight, fast, slow, playful, direct, structured or confused, and that cause and influence each other. Almost like life itself, viewed from a distant perspective that can give room for understanding or confusion.
Life Lines Number four… is a network of pairs of lines that does not close to the outside. The lines are cut off and the dimension of the mesh appears open.
