About this artwork
The curved, almost wave-like shapes and the transitions of the different shades of blue reflect the fluid movement of water. The darker areas can symbolize the depth of the water, while the lighter shades suggest the approach to the water surface and the light. The flowing composition in particular makes the viewer feel the dynamics of water flowing from… darkness towards brightness, suggesting a sense of ascension, hope, or perhaps even a spiritual journey.
