About this artwork
In this painting, I have captured the profound emotions of closeness and togetherness using acrylics. The gentle yet powerful brushstrokes depict how two people merge in a quiet, intimate moment. The colors convey warmth and familiarity, bringing a calm, almost meditative energy into your home – an invitation to experience the beauty of human connection.

Germany
Birgit vom Dorp is an artist living in Essen, trained in painting, graphic design, and clothing technology. She works primarily with acrylics, charcoal, and watercolors, oscillating between expressive figuration and psychological portraiture. Her works are characterized by gestural layers, strong color contrasts, and a deliberate blurring of the lines. With her expressive style, she conveys intimacy, vulnerability, and the complex depths of human emotion—between visible presence and hidden memory.
