About this artwork
In this painting, I merged the fluidity of impressionism with the starkness of minimalism to capture the juxtaposition of man-made structures against the natural landscape. Using oil paints, I aimed to evoke a sense of calm and introspection through the serene aqua tones contrasted sharply by the bold red pillar. The artwork invites viewers to reflect on the balance between human intervention and the natural world, bringing a meditative presence… into any space.
« It is my wish that my artworks bring some joy, and thoughtfulness as well. »
Bo Kravchenko is a painter and photographer based in the United States whose works have been exhibited nationally. He describes his artistic process as intuitive, and as a conversation with the canvas. Through the language of colors, shapes, and textures, Kravchenko endeavors to communicate "something beyond", that can not be expressed with words. His diverse compositions are created using acrylics, oils, and pencils on canvas.
