About this artwork
In my canvas, I explore the duality of human existence, capturing the tension between the concrete and the ephemeral, the individual and the collective. I infuse passion and reflection, mixing realism and abstraction to encourage contemplation. With these masked faces, I question identity and resilience in the face of adversity. This work, vibrant with energy, will bring dialogue and introspection to any living space.

« My paintings contain an intimate look with human presence. There is a two-way questioning of my pictorial practice, namely about presence and absence, about substance and form. »
Boris Garanger is a French artist whose paintings have been exhibited nationally and in Italy. Through his art, he questions the link between the individual and the collective. Garanger approaches identity in multiple ways. His artistic approach towards the portrayal of identity and individual expression explores the movement of bodies, action, artifacts, absence, and memory. While he primarily creates using oils on linen, he does not discount other mediums and often employs charcoal, pencils, and acrylics.
