About this artwork
Having explored building facades with the 'Facade Series 2019', I moved away from the built environment and turned to nature for inspiration. This series uses different landscapes as its base, which has then been abstracted and minimised using horizontal elements. Fields, beaches, sunsets, sand dunes, water and other natural landscapes are depicted with lines of colour and texture.
Continuing with the use of paper foil and vinyl layered onto Dibond… panels, these were made from September 2019 through February 2020. The works are framed with an acid-free front mount and back panel in an oak or a black-stained wood frame with hooks for hanging. The art is shipped in bubble wrap and a sturdy cardboard box.
These are original works, signed and dated on the reverse. This work is inspired by the colours of the rocks on the beaches around Cape Town.

« I create colorful abstractions depicting real and imagined places using color, texture, and precision. I can't wait to get into the studio every day! »
Brian Reinker's artistic focus centralizes on abstracted urban environments and landscapes. The American painter, who resides in the United Kingdom, explores varying themes through series. Reinker's works explore building facades, as well as abstracted horizontal and vertical landscapes, in an effort to 'simplify and distill the views and emotional content'. His paintings and collages are created on paper and metal.
