About this artwork
New Series for 2021 based on and inspired by the famous Milan based Italian fashion house of Missoni.
Starting in the late 1950's they used pattern and colours in their knitwear that is a signature style and recognised world wide today. This work is made from colourfast paper that is then coated with layers of cold wax and a UV inhibitor, polished and then set in an oak box frame.
Thread 2 is inspired by a series of fabrics designed in the 1980's… based on the colourful Native American blanket designs.
