About this artwork
This painting came through as I was basically non stop listening to David Bowie's interviews and music in my studio. Several of the lyrics in Starman kept finding a way to come into this piece. During this creative process, I was blown away when I heard about the mass shooting Orlando nightclub shooting. It was also influenced by the Dakota Pipeline Protests...a lot of feelings around transformation and unity came up in our world while this painting…
was forming.
