Composure explores the relationship between personal identity and the professional image we present to the world. The young man appears confident and composed, yet his expression leaves room for uncertainty, reflecting the tension between external expectations and internal experience.
The portrait combines expressive brushwork with contrasting yellow and violet tones, creating an interplay of light and shadow. Painted directly on aluminium, the… industrial surface reinforces the connection to the corporate world while contrasting with the individuality of the human figure.
The work invites reflection on how much of ourselves we reveal, and how much we adapt to the roles we are expected to fulfill.
