About this artwork
The sky stretches out, dense and warm. Deep terracotta at the top, burning orange in the middle, almost translucent peach just above the horizon. Each band of color carries the memory of a day that refuses to end. At the horizon line, a vibrant light emerges: gold leaf mingles with ochres and reds, and everything begins to glow with that magical light that belongs only to the Mediterranean when it ignites.
Below, the earth receives. Fiery red,… burgundy, dark glints. The cracked material carries the heat of the sunset, retaining its trace like a tactile memory. It is no longer a landscape, it is an emotion taking shape.
A Magic Sunlight is the metamorphosis of an earlier work, A Gentle Sunlight, now flamboyant. As if the same light had chosen, that evening, to give its all at once. Unique work, signed on the back with a seal of authenticity.
