About this artwork
The golden sky fills the entire upper reaches, dense, textured, almost solid. It is the hour when the sun sets the horizon ablaze and transforms the air into molten gold.
At the center, the wave unfolds. A shimmering sheet of gold mingled with white foam, it captures all the light of the sunset. Each texture is a caress of the brush, each gleam a fragment of the sun frozen in time.
Below, the orange sand anchors the scene. Warm and earthy, it reminds… us that the sea always ends up touching the land. The Mediterranean at the end of the day, when everything becomes precious.
This small format captures the magic of the moment. The moment when the sun gives itself entirely to the sea.
