All about over, on, and underneath: an exploration of surface and depths. The pond's surface reflects the cloudy, rainy sky and mirrors the eucalyptus trees that grow beside it. The reflections both block and reveal the underwater and bottom of the pond, exposed where the trees block the light. Bronle Crosby is an American artist whose paintings have been extensively exhibited in the United States. She describes her almost photographic pieces as abstracted glimpses of realism. Crosby finds inspiration from glimpses into nature and the transitional instants as things change, and refers to these moments as “the betweens”. Her artistic process involves focusing on "little corners of the big picture". She creates using oils on canvas or linen.
