About this artwork
In Himba Tribal Chief, I tap into that ancient-yet-modern tribal energy that drives so much of my work. The figure feels ceremonial—part protector, part storyteller—built from symbolic shapes, shields, and markings that hint at tradition without copying it. I wanted the colors and textures to evoke both ancestry and a contemporary rhythm, creating a chief who stands somewhere between myth, memory, and my own abstract language.
