About this artwork
Corrosion refers to the alteration of a material by chemical reaction with an oxidant (mainly dioxygen and the H+ cation). The best-known examples are the oxidation of metals in air or water: rust of iron and steel, formation of verdigris on copper and its alloys (bronze, brass). However, corrosion affects more widely all kinds of materials (metals, ceramics, polymers) says wipedia. But we talk less about the implosion of colors implosions of colors…
of corroded surfaces and even less about the corrosion of our view of the things that surround us. This work is part of the idea that we too corrode ourselves and first of all our gaze. This painting is preceded by "Corrosion 1" invites reflection on what we perceive, what is changing, transforming before our eyes and that a painting can freeze although it itself will modify over time .

Bruno-Georges David is a painter and sculptor based in France whose works have been featured in solo exhibitions nationally and in Bulgaria. In addition, his art is featured in the permanent collection of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Pavlikeni, Bulgaria. He describes his works as being imbued with nature and the concept of time. David believes that we do not create anything, rather, we endeavor to reproduce "what lies beyond us".
