About this artwork
Cattle Rustling or Raiding was not a new method of making money, but it was a historic crime that quickly became popular on the American Frontier. Gangs of bandits would steal cattle from ranches in the dark of night and auction them off the next day. Cattle farmers often wouldn’t know for several days, based on when they would take inventory of their livestock. Sometimes Union Cattle Drovers or boxcars would be hijacked, leading to shootouts! So…
who knows? Maybe today aliens are abducting our cows, making delicious alien burgers without farmers knowing.

« "The more you do, the less you wait", my style is constantly evolving with each new piece I create. »
Bumpy Wilson (b. 1995) is a Chicago, based Contemporary Artist who creates highly personal paintings that assert his unique style somewhere between Pop Minimalism and Magical Surrealism. His oeuvre is subtly culled from the art world itself and most notably depicts cows, basketball hoops, and seemingly random objects. Through his art, he is able to evoke puns as art forms, providing a play on words for his ever-expanding discursive material.
