About this artwork
At the turn of the century, many cowboys became famous and inspired others to follow in their footsteps. One of those youngsters was James Vincenzo Capone, Al Capone’s older brother. Vincenzo fled New York at the age of 16 to start a new life, joining the circus and then the Army. Upon returning, he was inspired by Buffalo Bill’s machismo and William S. Hart’s roles in Western films to become a lawman. He changed his name to Richard Hart and received…
the nickname of Two Guns, since he always carried two pearl-handled handguns. This composition is tilted in the same manner that The Quick and the Dead often displayed its dramatic moments before a shootout would start!

« "The more you do, the less you wait", my style is constantly evolving with each new piece I create. »
Bumpy Wilson (b. 1995) is a Chicago, based Contemporary Artist who creates highly personal paintings that assert his unique style somewhere between Pop Minimalism and Magical Surrealism. His oeuvre is subtly culled from the art world itself and most notably depicts cows, basketball hoops, and seemingly random objects. Through his art, he is able to evoke puns as art forms, providing a play on words for his ever-expanding discursive material.
