About this artwork
The piece is inspired by the serenity and peace one can find after grieving a loss or a hard time, when joy comes back and life blossoms again in our hearts. It invites the viewer to reflect on himself and his life and see the part of wisdom (the Mont Fuji here) he carries inside. The curved lines of the composition give a feeling of love, motherhood and protection. The snow up there remind us our essence (or soul) is eternal.

Cæsiliæ is an experienced Parisian painter with international roots, now based in Berlin. Drawing on personal loss, she seeks to build a spiritual and poetic artistic universe that facilitates healing whilst also acknowledging pain. Water features prominently in her figurative works; luminous reflections on lakes and oceans appear within outlines of female subjects caught in movement. These elements ultimately display a visual dance of light and feeling.
