About this artwork
Always playing with abstraction and trying to find surrealist ways to inhabit it, while at the same time working towards abstracting the domestic, this piece is composed of cuts and off-cuts to deliver uncanny familiarities. It balances plains and holes, the obscuring and the see-through, the light and darkness, the recognisable and the abstract into an almost familiar scene, or into an exploded version of the not-so-common everyday.
