About this artwork
We are all faced at some point in our lives with becoming warriors.
Whatever our struggle, whatever the cause, a part of us is capable of waking up and picking up the gun.
This could be a mother or father defending their child, an employee defending their job, a person fighting an illness.
I like to think that we are warriors, resilient.
What drives us is the courage to confront and change.
Change one day at a time.

« In my little factory, I am the alchemist of your emotions..... »
Caalista is a Parisian artist who juggles several media: painting, photography and digital art.
She tracks down forgotten emotions, using her brushes, tablet or camera to create unique works.
Photography was her first encounter with art. For a long time, she was the portraitist of her friends, but also a small reporter on every trip. When she takes a photo, she tries to tell the story of what moves her.
Painting came to her by accident, a compulsive need to write down one sorrow then another, then her joys and pleasures, a therapy in color! "When I paint, it's first of all my emotions that I'm trying to free, I choose my colors as if I were shopping, I observe them for a long time, then I throw myself into it without any precise goal and let the magic of the materials wander over the canvas, I integrate inks, pigments, objects and I inscribe relief.
"What would life be without relief? My painting is alive and sometimes collides with sculpture".
Digital art has enabled her to mix all these media to give birth to the world of her dreams, more colorful, more psychedelic, more surreal. Caalista navigates between two worlds. Her universe evolves around Soulages, Pollock, Richter, Dali and Klimt, as well as Bashung, Gainsbourg and Bowie.
She has been exhibiting in Paris for over 20 years.
Caalista is a renowned emerging international painter.
