Caia Matheson is an established British painter who has exhibited her work internationally, including throughout the UK, Belgium and Singapore. Her paintings center on words and verse from a range of sources: radio plays, audio books, stories, songs and poetry, and she transforms them into visual narratives. Matheson's technical process includes mixing mediums and creative experimentation; she layers her canvases with paint before scratching and re-layering, and values te idea of previous markings maintaining an inherent part of the composition.
