« More than any other subject, I’ve only really wanted to paint people - nudes, portraits, and now, in collaboration with dancers, combining elements of both. »
Carl Chapple is a British portrait painter who has widely exhibited his work throughout the UK. After having developed an interest in Classical and Renaissance painting throughout travels to Greece, Turkey and Italy, he began his artistic exploration of the human form and hasn't looked back since. Chapple's works now showcase a strong enthusiasm for portraiture, and combine muted tones, strong forms and intriguing faces.
