The study was done with recycled materials, combined with PopArt where the modern cut of the mosaic crosses with the relief and recycled materials, creating the effect of the 3D painting.
It is likely that the idea of a confectionery product placed on a stick is very old and has been reinvented several times in history. Some trace the lollipop to the early 19th century, others to the American Civil War. The modern lollipop was invented… by George Smith in 1908 and registered in 1931 under the English name of lollipop, a name taken from a horse race, the Lolly pop.
And here we are, remembering our childhood and always remaining children, with the play and carefree nature of that time.
The very bright colors, combined with recycled materials, give a real three-dimensionality.
