About this artwork
I let emotions flow in the creation of this work, playing with the abstract and the symbolic to evoke metaphysical and impressionistic sensations. Using acrylic, oil and a variety of other materials such as sand and cement, I explored different textures and depths. Carlo Bazzoni is an award-winning artist based in Italy whose paintings have been featured in solo exhibitions nationally, as well as in Switzerland and Germany. In his bold compositions, he explores themes relating to nature, capturing "yesterday and the present" in a simultaneous flow, while also conveying what has been destroyed over the centuries and what is left. In his artistic process, Bazzoni mixes tempera, oils, and acrylics on linen or canvas.
